We will share with you the rich history behind the traditional culture we cherish – including the origins of mochi-making, the tea ceremony, and the historical significance of Kyoto and this special location near Ryōan-ji Temple – while you look through curated historical materials and documents.

私たちが大切にする伝統文化の歴史や、お餅つきの歴史、茶道の歴史、ここ京都、そして龍安寺という場所の歴史について、皆様に資料をご覧いただきながらご説明させていただきます。

Mochi-Pounding Experience
お餅つき体験

You will enjoy an immersive, full-body mochi-pounding experience
using an authentic usu (mortar) and kine (mallet) that have been used in a Kyoto confectionery shop for more than 100 years.

100年以上前から京都の和菓子屋さんで使われてきた、本格的な臼と杵を使った全身でお楽しみいただける体験をしていただきます。

Tea Ceremony Experience
茶道体験

You can enjoy an authentic tea ceremony experience using high-quality matcha sourced from a long-established tea producer in historic Uji,
with a history of over 100 years.

歴史ある宇治で創業100年以上ある、老舗から仕入れたお抹茶を使い、本格的な茶道体験をしていただけます。

Tasting freshly pounded mochi
突き立てのお餅の実食

After pounding the mochi yourselves, you can enjoy eating it with a variety of traditional Japanese flavors and toppings.

実際に皆さんがついたお餅をその後、色々な日本の伝統の味付けでご飲食していただけます。

Japanese Sword & Traditional Bow Experience
日本刀と日本伝統弓体験

You will also have the rare opportunity to see and handle real Japanese swords and traditional Japanese bows,
items that most people never get the chance to touch.

あまり、見る事も触れることも出来ない本物の日本刀と日本伝統弓を実際に触っていただけます。

Group Photo Session
集合写真の撮影

Finally, as a memorable keepsake, we will take a group photo with everyone gathered around the mortar, holding the mallet or tea ceremony utensils.
The photos and videos taken during the experience will be delivered to you via email or AirDrop, either on the same day or shortly afterward.

最後に、思い出として、臼を囲み、杵や、茶道具を持ち、集合写真を撮影いたします。
撮影した動画や写真は、メールやAirDropにて、当日もしくは後日改めて送らせていただきます。
